Twin Peaks is roughly the neighborhood between Rancon, Iron, Clayton and Market St to the north, and Crestline to the south, and Twin Peaks to the west and Market and Portola to the east. Twin Peaks is a small community nestled in the heart of the San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of about 922 feet. Twin Peaks is the second highest point in San Francisco and forms a natural barrier to the fog. The eastern side is generally sunnier than the western. Twin Peaks consists of mostly residential single family homes, apartments and condos with some of the best views of the City. There is a severe lack of commerce in Twin Peaks so you won't find much in the way of shopping. Public transportation is limited in this neighborhood as there is only one Bus line and almost everyone owns a car.
Twin Peaks are two hills and are the second highest points in San Francisco and one of the best places to catch the sun rising in all of San Francisco. It is also a nice hiking spot.
Twin Peaks Reservoir is a reservoir in the northern part of Twin Peaks. It has a 10.5 million-gallon storage capacity at an elevation of 758 feet.
