The South Beach neighborhood encompasses moderately affluent individuals, medium-density mixed-use blocks and borders Yerba Buena, Mission Bay and the Financial District Neighborhoods. It is the neighborhood south of Market St. and north of Interstate 80, roughly between Main/Essex and the Bay. This neighborhood used to be industrial consisting of warehouses and storage yards, but underwent a neighborhood renovation in the 1980s and 1990s turning it into various hi rise residential, mixed use buildings, and live work lofts.
AT&T Park is the deluxe baseball stadium where the San Francisco Giant's play.
Mission Creek is a river in San Francisco that has become a basic channel of water leading out to China Basin. It basically is the southern border of the South Beach Neighborhood. It historically was used as an off loading point for bananas in the 20s to 50s where there was a large banana processing plant.
Rincon Park is a two acre park located along the waterfront with great Bay views. It also contains an enormous bow and arrow sculpture called Cupid's Span.

Boulevard opened in 1993 and offers American-French cuisine in a Belle Epoque setting designed by Pat Kuleto. They are known as one of the best restaurants in the City. Java House has been serving longshoremen, locals and tourists alike for over 100 years. They are cash only and known for their inexpensive breakfasts. They are open daily and located at Pier 40, (415) 495-7260.

Red's Java House is a dive of a restaurant that was started by the brother of one of the owner's of Java House over a family quarrel. This establishment is known for its inexpensive filling breakfasts and burgers. They are open daily and located at Pier 30, (415) 777-5626.
Saison is one of the few restaurants to receive two Michelin stars in San Francisco. They feature luxurious multicourse tasting menus and wine pairings. The food is excellent, but the service does not treat the guests in quite the same manner. The menu does not allow for substitutions and is expensive.
