North Panhandle (NOPA) Neighborhood (94115 & 94117) (6f)
The North Panhandle, otherwise known as NOPA, is the neighborhood in San Francisco between roughly Fulton/Turk to the north, Fell to the South and between roughly Stanyan/Masonic to the west and Divisadero to the east. NOPA gets its name as it is just north of the Panhandle Park which is just south of the North Panhandle (NOPA) neighborhood. Many young families, students and young professionals live in this neighborhood. The homes in this neighborhood are in high demand and there are single family residences, condos and multi-unit buildings.
There are many trendy restaurants, cafes, shops and clubs along Divisadero. The North Panhandle restaurants, small business and residences are represented by the North of the Panhandle Neighborhood Association. Some local events put on in this neighborhood include Sunday's Divisadero Farmer's Market and the Divisadero Art Walk which happens twice a month. This neighborhood offers easy freeway access via Fell and Oak Streets and public transportation. There are also navigable bicycle routes near the Panhandle and the streets.
St. Mary's Hospital is located at 450 Stanyan Street #7 in the western part of NOPA across from Golden Gate Park.

Nopa serves many wood fired Californian/Mediterranean dishes and was a pioneer to the artisan cocktail scene here in the City. Technically this restaurant is in Alamo Square as it is on the East Side of Divisadero but given its name we included it here. They are located at 560 Divisadero St at Hayes St, (415) 864-8643
