Lone Mountain Neighborhood (94117 & 94118) (1g)
Lone Mountain is south of Geary, north of Fulton, east of Arguello and west of Masonic. It is is a hilltop neighborhood which is bounded by some of the busiest traveled streets. This upper-middle class neighborhood consists has many well-kept Edwardians, and multi-unit residential properties and apartments to accommodate the local student population.
Lone Mountain, also known as "University Terrace" because of the terraces connecting the two USF campuses, is a neighborhood that rests on the former location of the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Masonic Cemetery and the Greek Orthodox Cemetery. During and prior to the 1940s the graves of these cemeteries were all moved to Colma. It is now home to the University of San Francisco. There are many shops, businesses and restaurants. This neighborhood also provides ample access to public transportation, but parking can be challenging given the number of students in the area.
Angelo J. Rossi Playground which offers public tennis and basketball courts, a picnic area and child playground. It is located between Anza and Edward and Arguello Blvd and Rossi Ave. Parkscan Info.

St. Ignatius Church, a Catholic Church located at 650 Parker Ave. It is part of USF and is a landmark of the neighborhood. It was built in 1914 atop the Lone Mountain and is visible from many parts of SF. Review Yelp.
