Ingleside is the neighborhood located south of Ocean, north of Lakeview, east of Ashton and west of 280. It has been defined by some as a sterile and somewhat deserted neighborhood.  The neighborhood borders San Francisco City College to the northeast. This neighborhood has many modest single family homes many with small inlaw units that are rented or occupied by students..  Ocean Ave is the center of most of the commercial shops and restaurants.  This area is often subject to fog and the crime rate is higher in this neighborhood then some of the other parts of San Francisco. As for public transportation the K Street car line runs up Ocean Ave.  The Balboa Park MUNI and BART Station is not too far in the neighboring Mission Terrace.
